A world of possibilities

Preparing Kenya's youth to succeed in a changing world

Young people across Kenya are growing up in a world of constant change. New technologies, evolving industries, and expanding opportunities are reshaping how people learn, work, and build careers.

Young Enterprise Kenya helps young people prepare for that future through hands-on learning experiences in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial capability. We connect what students learn with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in school, at work, and in their communities.

Part of a global network; focused on Kenya

Young Enterprise (YE) Kenya is a member of of JA Worldwide, one of the world's largest youth-serving organizations, reaching young people in more than 120 countries. The global JA network brings proven learning experiences, international expertise, and shared resources, while YE Kenya works alongside local schools, educators, volunteers, and businesses to ensure every experience reflects the needs and opportunities of Kenyan youth.

Our training help students move beyond the classroom by applying what they learn to real-world challenges.

The JA/YE portfolio of learning experiences offers young people the opportunity to solve real problems, collaborate with teammates, develop businesses from the ground up, strengthen financial decision-making, and job shadow in the workplace. These are skills that benefit individuals, strengthen businesses, and contribute to thriving communities. Along the way, students build confidence, resilience, and the ability to adapt as the world changes.

Cultivating an Entrepreneurial Mindset

Through real-world entrepreneurship programs—the longest-running in the world—students work as a team to develop an innovative product or service, finance their startup business, creatively market their product, deliver finished products, and launch their careers as entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs.

Preparing Youth for the Future of Jobs

Our volunteer-led work-readiness experiences teach critical work skills that prepare young people for college, trade school, or the workforce. Whether job shadowing skilled mentors, testing their skills through digital experiences, or developing solutions during business challenges, JA/YE students are prepared for the jobs of the future.

Developing Financial Capability

Our hands-on, role-playing financial-literacy experiences expose young people to smart saving and investing, thoughtful spending and credit, the role of taxes, the value of employment and community involvement, and the opportunities of global trade. We prepare young people for lifelong financial capability.

A stronger future starts with young people

Every country benefits when young people are prepared to contribute their talents. By investing in young people today, we help build a workforce that is skilled, adaptable, and ready to meet tomorrow's challenges. Together with educators, volunteers, businesses, and supporters, YE Kenya is helping create more opportunities for the next generation.
